Homecraft DIY cedar sauna kits include everything you need to turn a pre-framed space into a premium sauna room. Built from clear, Grade A+ Western Red Cedar with a CSA-approved heater, pre-routed benches, tongue-and-groove panels and a cedar door, each kit is designed for a straightforward weekend installation. Choose from 15 standard sizes, from 4x4 to 8x8 ft, for a basement corner, backyard shed or standalone building.

Sizes, heaters and capacity
Each size ships with a matched heater. Our heaters are available separately: Revive Slim (4x4 to 5x5), Revive (5x6 to 7x8) and Apex (8x8).

Before you build
- Insulation is not included. Your pre-framed room needs R-13 (RSI 2.3) batt insulation in the walls and R-19 (RSI 3.3) in the ceiling, with nothing below R-12. The kit includes the aluminum foil vapour barrier, installed over the insulation on the warm side. Never use a plastic vapour barrier in a sauna.
- Floor is not included. Build on concrete, tile, sealed cement or a cedar platform. Never on carpet, vinyl or laminate.
- Electrical: a licensed electrician must wire the 240V heater to code.
- Tools: skill saw, drill, level, hand saw, table saw and brad nailer.
- Outdoor builds: suitable inside a framed, insulated, weathertight structure such as a shed or garage. In cold weather, consider sizing the heater up by 1 to 2 kW.
